Privacy Policy

WC26 Hub collects minimal data — your team selections, prediction entries, optional email — and uses it only to make the product work. We don't sell your data, run ad networks, or track you across sites. WC26 Hub is time-boxed: after the tournament ends (July 19, 2026), most data becomes archival.

WC26 Hub is operated by Olivanila LLC. The full privacy policy that governs all Olivanila products, including WC26 Hub, is available at olivanila.com/privacy/. This document adds WC26 Hub-specific details that supplement (but do not override) the main policy.
What WC26 Hub specifically stores
When you use WC26 Hub, we may store the following to operate product features:
- Team preferences— which national teams you follow, for calendar and notifications. Stored in your browser's localStorage only.
- Prediction entries — your predictions for tournament matches (scores, outcomes), stored in our database when you join a prediction pool.
- Participant name — the display name you choose when joining a prediction pool (visible on the pool leaderboard).
- Timezone — auto-detected and stored locally so match times display correctly for you.
- Email address — only if you opt in for match reminders, calendar sync, or launch notifications.
Team preferences and timezone are stored in your browser only (localStorage) and never sent to our servers. Prediction pool data and email subscriptions are stored in our database (Supabase).
Third-party services used by WC26 Hub
- Supabase — PostgreSQL database and authentication for user accounts and predictions. Policy
- Vercel — hosting for the WC26 Hub web app. Policy
- Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights — cookie-free, privacy-friendly performance and usage analytics. No cross-site tracking, no IP storage. Policy
- Resend — transactional email delivery (match reminders, calendar sync). Policy
- Cloudflare — DNS, analytics, email routing. Policy
- Booking.com— affiliate links to hotels near stadiums. Clicks are tracked by Booking.com's own systems. Policy
Email communications
If you subscribed to match reminders or updates, every email contains an unsubscribe link. We honour unsubscribe requests immediately (one-click) or within 10 business days for manual requests. Our physical mailing address for CAN-SPAM purposes: Olivanila LLC, New Mexico, United States (full address available on request at hello@wchub.app).
If you joined a prediction pool, you may also receive a reminder email before each match deadline. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link to opt out of future pool reminders.
After the tournament ends
WC26 Hub is built for a specific window (June 11 — July 19, 2026). After the tournament:
- Your data remains accessible for at least 90 days so you can export prediction results, statistics, and calendar entries.
- After 90 days, we may archive or delete personal data that is no longer actively used.
- Anonymous aggregate data (e.g., "X% of users predicted Argentina would win") may be retained for historical interest.
- You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@wchub.app.
Your rights
All rights described in the main Olivanila privacy policy apply to WC26 Hub. In short: you can unsubscribe, request deletion, request a data copy, or opt out at any time by emailing hello@wchub.app.
To request deletion of your prediction pool data (name, email, predictions), email hello@wchub.app with subject Data deletion request. We will process requests within 30 days.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area, we process personal data under the following legal bases:
- Consent — email address for match reminders and notifications (you opt in explicitly via a double opt-in flow).
- Legitimate interest — anonymous preference data (team selection, timezone) stored in localStorage to make the product work without an account.
- Contract performance — prediction pool data stored when you join a pool (the data is necessary to operate the pool feature you signed up for).
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. To exercise these rights, email hello@wchub.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
